our story!
The Odd Cat's story began in 2016 as a cat café and adoption center, created to help more cats find loving homes. As we became more involved in Bali's cat welfare community, we saw a growing need for rescue and sanctuary services, and our role expanded over time.
Today, we are Bali's first all-in-one cat center, bringing together a cat café, boarding facility, event venue, sanctuary, and rescue-adoption center under one roof. We also offer cat food and merchandise.
Whether you're looking to adopt, board your cat, connect with fellow cat lovers, or support our rescue efforts, you've come to the right place.
our mission
Since 2016, The Odd Cat has rescued over a thousand cats and kittens and helped hundreds find loving homes. As our work has expanded, we have also provided care to many other animals in need.
Every day, we receive requests to help animals suffering from abandonment, injury, neglect, and abuse. From vulnerable kittens found alone to mothers and their litters left without shelter, we do our best to provide care, safety, and a second chance whenever possible.
rescue and sanctuary
As a private rescue organization, we maintain a strict no-kill policy. This means that every animal we take into our care remains with us until they are adopted or can be safely placed elsewhere.
Because our resources and space are limited, we must carefully assess every rescue request we receive. While we receive requests for assistance every day, we are unfortunately unable to accept every animal in need, and we do not accept owner surrenders or animal dumping from the general public.
Whenever possible, we aim to help by providing advice, suggesting alternative solutions, and referring cases to trusted rescue partners and animal welfare organizations.
If you believe an animal requires our assistance, please send us a message with as much information as possible, and our team will review the situation and advise on the best course of action.
For Cat Lovers, Built Around Cat Welfare
Everything we do at The Odd Cat is designed to support our rescue and animal welfare work in a sustainable way. From our cat café and boarding facility to our events, merchandise, and adoptions, every part of The Odd Cat helps us continue caring for animals in need.
Our vision is to create lasting positive change for cats in Bali through rescue, adoption, education, and responsible pet ownership. While the need remains great, we believe that by working together with our community, we can improve the lives of countless animals and reduce the cycle of abandonment and neglect.
It's an ambitious goal, but one worth striving for, and we'll continue doing everything we can to help as many animals as possible.
